I've had this laptop for a few weeks, so can't say anything about it's longevity. It ticks almost every box for me. I wanted a laptop which could cope with a bit of rough treatment, and this is a VERY sturdy build, solid and compact, metal casing and the plastic bits are protected. It's as fast as I want a laptop to be - I don't know how well it is suited for gaming but streams video and does everythign else absolutely fine, including editing video, which is a bit RAM thirsty. The screen is very bright if you want it that bright, and the speakers are good enough for me to enjoy classical music on, at a decent volume (although are bass heavy until you adjust them). The only downside for me is the range of the wifi receiver. You really have to be pretty close to the wifi router to get a decent signal, much closer than my previous laptop. This is disappointing as I really wanted all those other qualities so I could work in the garden on a sunny day. You can still see the screen fine even in direct sunlight, which is great, but I have to stay close to the window. Overall though, a very very good laptop for the money.
