Replaced my old unit for this one. Runs like newI've had this router for a bit over a month now, and I've got no complaints. It was easy to set up when it arrived, though mine didn't come with an owner's manual so I had to look it up. Signal is strong on all bands, much better range than my previous one. Data throughput is pretty great; I've had no congestion issues even with multiple devices streaming and video conferencing. One of the fast shipping I've ever seen. So far it turned on and all LEDS or lights are working just fine. However, one of the seal connection for antenna is missing therefore one of the router's connectors threads is very exposed. I mean its listed as a renewed products means its been professionally inspected and tested and all that.so I'm curious why one of the part is missing???. If it was one of these condition such as used-good or used-very good, that I could understand but it wasn't. I mean I saved few bucks I get it so its still a win-win situation for me. I don't really buy renewed or refurbished products its because I don't trust the internet/people no matter how expensive it is. Luck isn't something that I can afford. Just be cautious and aware to buy renewed/refurbished products, it could be bogus or caput if your luck is not on your side.I know this is a renewed device and I have always been expecting that not to be perfect. This item was showing as excellent condition. When it came in, the box was really messed up. I don’t know how that would happen with a router box. Moreover, it’s really dirty inside, plus animal hairs sticking all over the bottom of thi router. This is far away than “excellent” just a terrible experienceAiMesh was so easy to setup I didn’t realize I was done. This is my 2nd one, I’ve had my first AX11000 since 2019 and it’s only gotten better with the firmware updates.Props to ASUS for being on top of the firmware updates.the mobile app is great too. It’s definitely overkill for what I need it for but that’s the point, I don’t want to think about my internet connection, I just want fast reliable and great range.4,000 sq ft 2 level houseI would’ve only needed one of these if the wife didn’t insist the router be somewhere (literally the worst spot in the house) and even then just the 1 AX11000 covered my whole house outside of one dead zone next to a retaining wallIf you have the $ don’t skimp and get this oneAlso the renewed router looked brand new, glad to save some $I almost got the new 6E version but realized putting it into AiMesh mode defeats true purpose of having 6E so if you’re going to use AiMesh you can save $ avoiding the 6E version (the AXE11000)Did not come with original box, instead they used less adequate shipping box. Inside the box are flimsy cardboard dividers all had collapsed. I got this refurbished to be used as AiMesh node with another identical ASUS router. So far its been over a month and it works as like a new unit. To keep these unit running 7/24, I have them on UPS and Laptop coolers. As for the performance with any WiFi air mesh system , well we all know its the same old non sense issues; distance, interference, and firmware updates. Nothing beats a hard wired cat 6e lan cable layout.Would be more useful out if the box if it included a power cord. Buyer beware that all deals aren't as good as you might expect.Features are great. You can monitor individual users and restrict their access. At 1Gb I did not need QoS, and to be honest at that speed it is only a negative in performance. The range is great. I had no issues adding in additional APs. Got full bandwidth on my service. I’ve had it for over 3 months and it seems solid. If you are on the fence between this and the rt-ac5300. Go for this. Throughput is phenomenal.
